Q 1. Under Official Baseball Rules, how many batters are in the line-up?

   Between 1 and 9    Everyone on the team bats    Exactly 9    A maximum of 12

Q 2. Batters should be listed:

    as Surname, Firstname    as Firstname, Surname    by uniform number    any old way you wish!

Q 3. What is meant if the coach says batter 5 to 7?

    The batter to bat 5th in the order will now bat in 7th position.    The player batting 5th has moved to left field in defense.   

Q 4. Could a player coming in from the bench to substitute for Batter 3,
   and moving to a different fielding position from Batter 3,
   then change to a different batting position?

   No.
   Yes.
   In some cases.
   It depends upon the circumstances.
