Scorer's Responsibilities

The Scorer: Decisions involving judgment should be agreed by both team scorers. If agreement cannot be reached, Home Scorer's decision prevails.

At the conclusion of each game, an official result card/report is to be completed by the Home Scorer.

The scorer shall not call the attention of the umpire or any member of either team to the fact that a player is batting out of turn.

If the teams change sides before three players are put out, the scorer shall immediately inform the umpire of the mistake.

Local practice is to inform the umpire of an "automatic out" (less than 9 batters in the batting order) when the batter before the automatic out approaches home plate.

Scorers should sit together at either of the locations indicated.
